IND vs BAN: Yash Dayal gets maiden call-up; KL Rahul, Pant make Comeback
India announced the Test squad for the first of the two Test matches against Bangladesh in Chennai. Left arm pacer Yash Dayal earned his maiden call-up, while Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul will also be making a comeback to the test team after a long gap. The first Test of this series will be played at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai from 19 september. After a historic 2-0 series victory against Pakistan on its home soil, Bangladesh team will be high on confidence.

About Yash Dayal
Dayal was born in Prayagraj and represents Uttar Pradesh in Domestic Cricket. Dayal made his first class cricket debut in 2018 and has managed to pick up 76 wickets at an average of 28.89. During IPL 2024, Dayal picked up 15 wickets and managed to grab selectors attention. Now, after his impressive performance in the ongoing Duleep Trophy, he was selected for Indian team.
Pant and Rahul make Comeback
Rishabh Pant will return to Test cricket for the first time since December 2022, when Team India last played in Bangladesh. The wicketkeeper-batsman was out of action for a long time after suffering a severe car accident. On his return to domestic red ball cricket, Pant has scored a half-century for India B in the ongoing Duleep Trophy. KL Rahul who was not part of the first Test against England this year in Hyderabad, will also be returning to the team. He has been impressive in Duleep Trophy, contributing a half-century.
