Has Shiv Sena made a blunder by opposing Kangana?

The whole Kangana Ranaut vs Uddhav Thackeray row has backfired for the Shiv Sena. Kangana had mentioned that she did not feel safe in Mumbai and  Shiv Sena leaders had raised objection on the statement. The actress further compared Mumbai to Pakistan occupied Kashmir(PoK) which further made it more heated. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut questioned Kangana and even asked her to leave Mumbai if she is having so much problem living in a city which made her a star. Now in Kangana’s absence , BMC demolished her office alleging illegal construction in the office. Although, the actress has said that she has all required documents and approvals.

Bombay High Court Adjourns Case
Kangana Ranaut had approached Bombay High Court after the demolition drive in her office. Her case has been adjourned till September 22 and it remains to be seen what happens then. Kangana has been giving various interviews to big news channels and does not seem to miss any chance to criticize the actions of Shiv Sena. She had also been asked to apologise to Uddhav Thackeray after she had been disrespectful to him earlier. High Court had earlier stopped demolition and will now listen to her challenge to civic body to demolish her office on Sep 22.

BMC lost court case in Demolition drive earlier

Popular politicians and Actors have come out in Kangana’s and criticized such an act by BMC, especially during current times when the world is suffering from a pandemic. Such act of demolition has backfired for BMC in the past. BMC had in the past demolished Asiad Hotel after which the case was in court for many years. Ultimately, Asiad Hotel won the case and BMC had bulid the Hotel again and also pay penalty. Even the Bombay High Court had announced an order prohibiting any demolition drive till September 30 due to coronavirus.

Support from BJP

Kangana Ranaut has received strong support from some of the big names in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The party had also provide Y+ security to the actress when she had to go from Manali to Mumbai. Shiv Sena in their editorial called it an attempt of BJP to seperate Mumbai from Maharashtra and also accused the party of supporting an actress who disrespected Maharashtra.

Drug Test

Kangana has recently stated that 99 percent of Bollywood consumes drugs.  Kangana will face a drugs probe ordered by the Maharashtra government in the latest twist in her ongoing feud with the ruling Shiv Sena. The investigation has started two days after her office in Mumbai was partly demolished by civic officials over alleged illegal alterations. Mumbai Police launched a probe after it received today the state Home Department’s letter ordering an investigation into Kangana Ranaut’s drug links based on an old interview of an actor.

A Shiv Sena member had recently filed a complaint against Kangana at Kadki police Station. The complaint has been filed against the actress for insulting, defaming, and bringing disrespect to the Maharashtra Government, Mumbai Police as well as Film industry through her comments on social media.
