On Friday, the Hindi strip ‘KGF Chapter 2’ resumed its incredible run. The Hindi version of the film has already surpassed the 100-crore milestone on its second day of release. ‘KGF 2’ sold tickets for Rs 231 crore on the second day alone. This is a new high for a Kannada film’s profits. On day two, the film’s net earnings were similarly close to ‘RRR.’

‘KGF 2’, directed by Prashanth Neel and starring Yash, Srinidhi Shetty, Prakash Raj, Raveena Tandon, and Sanjay Dutt, fared extremely well on its first day of release across the country. According to early estimates, the film made roughly Rs 88 crore on its second day of release and a total of Rs 103 crore on Friday at the Indian box office. The film’s first weekend will last four days, and if the film’s profits are comparable on Saturday and Sunday, it might establish a record for the highest-grossing film on the first weekend among Hindi films.

The Yash starring ‘K.G.F: Chapter 2’ became the largest Day-1 opener in Indian history, as anticipated. The masterpiece broke all previous box office records on its opening day, grossing close to 135 crores, cementing its reputation as one of the most successful Indian films of all time. The film ‘KGF 2’ earned Rs 88 crore and a total collection of Rs 103 crore on the second day of its release.

With this, ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ becomes the highest-grossing film for a single star, and it also has a number of other titles to its name. The film achieved box office history in several regions, including the biggest ever Day 1 collection for a Hindi film (63.66), the highest ever opening in Karnataka for a Kannada film, and the greatest ever Day 1 collection in Kerala for any Indian film. On day one, the picture topped the lifetime gross of its predecessor, KGF.

Other Indian movie collections

After Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan,’ which grossed Rs 166.25 crore until Sunday, the fifth day of its release, Hrithik Roshan and Tiger’s ‘War’ is among the highest-grossing Hindi films on the first weekend. Like ‘Sultan’ and ‘War,’ Salman Khan’s ‘Bharat’ was released on Wednesday and grossed Rs 150.10 crore in its first five days. ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo,’ starring Salman Khan, is placed fourth on the list with a gross of Rs 129.77 crore, while ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion,’, is currently ranked fifth with a revenue of Rs 128 crore. ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ and ‘Baahubali 2’ were released on Thursday and Friday, respectively.
