IPL 2022 : Rinku Singh Trending after almost snatching victory from jaws of defeat

The dashing left-handed batter Rinku Singh went berserk from the word go. KKR’s surprise package Rinku proved to be too hot; 55 runs were required to win from 3 overs which is a bit too much even in modern Cricket. He along with the Caribbean pinch hitter Sunil Narine took calculative measures and scored 21 runs in 7 balls which included 3 gigantic sixes. In the last over, KKR required 21 to win and the bowler was Marcus Stoinis. The right arm over all-rounder used all the tricks in the book but was smashed by the crafty left-handed batter.

Almost did the impossible

KKR required 3 runs to win from 2 balls and at that moment Stoinis sprung a surprise as he took 2 back-to-back wickets as LSG won the Match by 2 runs. With this win, Lucknow Super Giants have qualified for the Tata IPL play-offs 2022. On the other hand, KKR had a thin hope of qualifying which ended as losing the match by 2 runs is heart-breaking.

Quinton de Kock shines

The South African left-handed batter was in a beast mode as he scored 140 runs in 70 balls. Quinton was unbeaten in that knock and made sure that LSG are posting a formidable total on board. LSG made a record by not losing a single wicket which didn’t happen in the entire Tata IPL 2022. The left-handed batter made sure that Skipper (*Rahul) is doing the role of the anchor as scoring wasn’t that easy. The likes of Narine continued to make lives harder.

Century Knock from the Scintillating batter (*Quinton) means that now LSG is no more dependent on their Captain. It would be interesting to see at which position will LSG finish as finishing in the top 2 gives them two chances to make it to the finals. They currently have 18 points and only RR (Rajasthan Royals) can change their position in the points table.
