IPL 2022: King Virat Kohli makes a Dashing Comeback

RCB’s Star Studded Batter finally found his mojo back. At the crucial junction of the tournament, Virat Kohli smashed a scintillating knock of 73 runs in 54 balls which included 8 fours and 2sixes and made a statement that he is not done yet. He, first of all, got his eye in and then went into beast mode. He wasn’t afraid to take down the likes of Rashid Khan. The former Captain of RCB made sure that he is sticking to the crease which frustrated Hardik Pandya.

RCB still has a chance of making it to the play-offs

Due to this knock, Virat has given RCB an outside chance to make it to the play-offs. Their entire hopes rest on Mumbai Indians versus Delhi capitals match where MI have to beat DC at any cost as RCB’s NET run rate is very much poor as compared to DC. Faf the Skipper of RCB already has started playing mind games by saying that he expects Rohit Sharma to fire. All in all, DC has a strong case to reach the play-offs as they are playing like a team and aren’t dependent on a single batter or bowler to win the match for the Team.

What lies ahead for Faf du Plessis

All in all, the Captaincy of Faf throughout the tournament was up to the mark and if he had got ample support from the middle order the story could have been different. RCB would be hoping that Faf continues to be the captain for the next 2 years and bring some glory to the home which no one has ever done till now. He has scored 443 runs in the tournament and has been strong on one side and made sure that the dismissal of Virat Kohli isn’t disturbing the team’s dynamics.
