Sunrisers looking for their first victory of IPL 13

Delhi Capitals will face Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi on Tuesday. While DC is high on confidence after winning the first two matches of the season, SRH is still searching for first victory after two consecutive losses this season. With its strong bowling line up and some big hitters at the top in batting order, Hyderabad has been considered the top contenders for IPL 2020 title but it is surprising to see them lose both the initial matches. As a result, David Warner’s team is lying at the bottom of the points table.

Team News
Delhi have the likes of Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan at the top who are in superb form and a good start in this format removes a lot of pressure from middle order batsman and also puts the team in a definite advantage. Also captain Shreyas Iyer is in good form and all know how destructive Rishabh Pant can be with the bat. They have the services of Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis. In the bowling department, Kagiso Rabada has the support of Anrich Nortje and spinner Amit Mishra and Axar Patel will have a key role to play as well on these pitches in United Arab Emirates. Mishra had replaced Ravichandran Ashwin who got injured in the very first match of the season and is likely to miss the match against Hyderabad as well.

Hyderabad have the opening pair of David Warner and Jonny Bairstow who are one of the most destructive batsman in world cricket and can change the game anytime. Experienced Kane Williamson is likely to return to playing XI for this contest as Mohammed Nabi’s replacement. Nabi had been brought into Hyderabad side as a replacement for the injured Mitchell Marsh but he will likely have to sit out. Williamson’s return will strengthen the batting order and then they have the likes of Manish Pandey, Abhishek Sharma, Priyam Garg and wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha in the middle order.

Predicted XI for Delhi Capitals-

Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, Shreyas Iyer, Shimron Hetmyer, Rishabh pant(Wk), Marcus Stoinis, Akshar Patel, Amit Mishra, Kagiso Rabada, Avesh Khan,Anrich Nortje

Predicted  XI for Sunrisers Hyderabad

David Warner, Jony Bairstow, Manish Pandey, Kane Williamson, Wriddhiman Saha, Abhishek Sharma,Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Khalil Ahmed, T Natarajan

Pitch and Weather

The pitch at Sheikh Zayed Stadium will benefit both the pacers and spinners. It will not be easy to score for the batsman right from the get go. The previous match at this venue was also a low scoring affair and both the teams have some high quality pacers and spinners in their line ups. Weather will be partly cloudy and dew is definitely going to play a significant role in the second half of the match.

If we talk about the past matches between these two sides, then SRH has an upper hand based on that as it has managed to win 9 out of the 15 matches played between them. But now Delhi players are at their best with win in first two matches and it will be a daunting task for Warner’s men to stop this side. It will be interesting to see what happens when the table toppers face off against the bottle placed team on Tuesday.
