International cricketers who married athletes

1. Dinesh Karthik – Dipika Pallikal: 

Dinesh Karthik, the Indian cricketer, married Dipika Pallikal, a professional squash player in August 2015. Pallikal was the first Indian woman to break into the top 10 of the Professional Squash Association Women’s Ranking. She also won India’s first-ever gold medal in squash at the Commonwealth Games in 2014. Karthik had a troubled marriage with Nikita Vanjara before tying the knot with Pallikal.

2. David Warner – Candice Warner: 

Australian cricketer David Warner’s wife, Candice Warner, was a professional competitor in the Ironman series, a water-sport-based surfing event in Australia. Candice won the New South Wales Championship when she was just 16 years old. Apart from her achievements in water sports, she is also a retired life-saver and has appeared in several television shows like It Takes Two, Hell’s Kitchen, Australian Story, and SAS: Who Dares to Win?

3. Shoaib Malik – Sania Mirza: 

Shoaib Malik, the Pakistani cricketer, married Indian tennis star Sania Mirza in 2010. Sania has numerous international accolades to her name, including six Grand Slams and the Padma Bhushan, the third-highest civilian award in the Republic of India. The couple faced a lot of criticism from fans in both countries when they announced their relationship in 2009.

4.Mitchell Starc – Alyssa Healy: 

Australian cricketer Mitchell Starc married Alyssa Healy, his fellow cricketer, in 2016. Healy holds the record of the most dismissals by a wicket-keeper in T20Is and recorded the second-highest runs in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in 2020 held in Australia. She is the niece of former Australian cricketer Ian Healy.
