IND vs SA: Ruturaj Gaikwad Plays an Impactful Knock against all the odds

The dashing right-handed batter Ruturaj Gaikwad proved his worth by notching up a half century. This time he was in an attacking mode and made a statement that he may be a slow starter but has the power to play a big knock. Earlier there were questions raised about his place in the team due to his low strike rate and most importantly there was a lack of intent.  Some Cricket Experts were already saying that Prithvi Shaw deserves a chance instead.

Ruturaj Gaikwad showcases his talent

From the word go, South African bowlers were hammered by the right-handed batter. He was so lethal in his approach as he wasn’t afraid of Rabada. He was in a brutal mode as he smashed 4 fours against Nortje which astonished every one. In the power-play overs, India managed to score 57 runs for no loss which was enough for creating havoc for Temba Bavuma and Co.

The scintillating right-handed batter scored his half-century in 30 balls. Later he was dismissed for 57 runs which included 7 fours and 2 sixes. All in all, there was an added extra responsibility on Ishan Kishan and now he would feel a bit relieved.

After being asked to bat first India posted a 179-5 and it looked like Proteas would once again chase it down. The likes of Bhuvneshwar and Avesh Khan were impeccable with the line and lengths as boundaries were hard to come. Chahal and Harshal took 7 wickets amongst themselves and made sure that no significant partnership is getting formed. India has made a comeback in the Series as the score-line of the Series is 2-1 with India behind. All in all, India needs to win the remaining 2 matches to win the Series which is a tough task.
