Ashish Nehra Doubts Rishabh Pant’s Captaincy to hold Back Axar Patel in 2nd T20I Match

According to the Cricket Expert Ashish Nehra Skipper Pant is continuing his poor captaincy. India is yet to open their account in the 5 T20I Series as India has lost 2 back to back matches. India now has to win all of the remaining 3 matches to win the T20I Series.  Earlier in the 1st T20I match, the skipper made a blunder by not bowling out/giving the ball to Chahal in a crunch situation.

SNAPSHOT: Ashish Nehra is furious over Rishabh Pant’s tactics against South Africa.

Ashish Nehra criticizes the Captaincy

On Cricbuzz he said: “Changes to the playing XI, depend on the conditions in Vizag. Rishabh Pant also needs to take a look, he held back Axar Patel for so long. There were two right-hand batters at that time. I don’t see any reason why Axar Patel was not given an over at that time.”  Klassen was having a dream match where he was bashing every bowler and at that time the left arm off spinner wasn’t given the ball which was surprising.

Later the South African batter went on to smash a match-winning knock of 81 runs in 46 balls which changed the complexion of the series. He was into the team as Quinton de Kock had a hand injury. He made the most of the opportunity and made a statement that he is a too good player to be sitting on the bench. He has given happy headaches to the management and now South Africa knows that India is under serious pressure. All in all, South Africa doesn’t need to get complacent here as losing the momentum won’t take any time.
