Day 4 Update

No play on whole day due to rain and wet outfield.

Day 3 Update

On Day 3 , Team India batsman flopped and entire team got dismissed for only 217 in the first innings.

Day 2 Update

New Zealand won the toss  on Day 2 and opted to Bowl First. It was a great contest as New Zealand bowlers good line and length but Indian batsman were equally good. Once again there was interruption as Bad Light stopped play with the game evenly balanced as India ended the day at 146/3.

Day 1 Update

Rain played spoilsport on first day of the World Test Championship Final between India and New Zealand. But there is some good news now as there is no rain expected at least in the first half of day 2 and fans can finally get to see some action on the field. Also, play will start half an hour before the scheduled start on all the remaining days as day 1 got washed out.

Will Team India make change to Playing XI

Keeping in mind the overcast conditions, Virat Kohli led Team India may include an extra pacer in place of a spinner to the side. It also depends on the toss as there will be moisture due to rain and captain winning the toss would like to bowl first and take advantage of the conditions.

Reserve Day

If the playing time allotted for the test match (or the number of overs) can’t be completed in five days, there is option to take the test match to a reserve day or the sixth day to get a result. In case the overs get completed by fifth day or the match ends in a draw even on sixth day, then both the teams will be declared co-winners.
