3 Key Players who might face the Axe after the India vs West Indies

India & West Indies are set to lock horns in ODI format starting from 6th February 2022. All the 3 ODI Matches are slated at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. Rohit Sharma led India & Kieron Pollard led West Indies are going to play 3 T20I Matches as  well as. These 3 T20I Matches are scheduled from 16th February. West Indies would be booming with confidence as recently they trashed Britishers by 3-2 in the T20I Series. 3 Players who may face the exit are as follows:

  • Bhuvneshwar Kumar
Bhuvneshwar Kumar would hope to get back into the groove.

South Africa ODI Series wasn’t quite fruitful to Bhuvneshwar Kumar. He was dropped for the 3rd ODI given his wicket-less performance in the first two ODIs. He has to pull his socks up as a lot of deserving youngsters like Deepak Chahar, T Natarajan are waiting in the wing. One more failure would mean the end of the road for the king of swing bowling. He needs to tighten up the line & length as he has to bowl minimum 3 consecutive deliveries to a batter as constant pressure yields out a wicket. All in all the road is a steep one yet can be productive given West Indies woes against new ball.

  • Shikhar Dhawan
Shikhar Dhawan would hope he breaks new records against a dangerous bowling line up.

Shikhar Dhawan had a decent South Africa ODI Series as he amassed 169 runs which included 2 half centuries. The worry for the dashing batter  is his age as currently he is  36 years old. T20 World Cup 2022 & ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 are up for grabs in the upcoming couple of years. He has a history of being injury prone as one more hiccup would disturb the balance of Indian Cricket team, for winning championships the team must have a strong camaraderie which was seen missing in the concluded ICC T2o World Cup 2021. His body is susceptible to injury so much that management is toothless as they don’t have any replacement which doesn’t keep the team in good stead. All in all the “Gabbar”  (called by team-mates) looks to thrive under pressure. Rahul Dravid the Coach would definitely make ready the likes of Ruturaj Gaikwad as India can’t afford another mishap.

  • Kuldeep Yadav
Kuldeep Yadav looks hungrier than ever which is an ominous sign for the opponent.

Kuldeep Yadav would have a point to prove as selectors & management have blatantly ignored him for 2 years. The likes of Ravindra Jadeja, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel have been in the mix. With the likes of Ravi Bishnoi too present in the ODI Mix, it seems unlikely that the left arm chinaman would be an automatic & first choice given the competition for spots. Rahul Dravid & The Selection Panel would hope that the chinaman proves his worth by picking up a dozen wickets in the bilateral ODI Series, The Chetan Sharma led Selection Panel would be monitoring the progress of the chinaman as having a chinaman may be expensive yet wicket yielding.
