Harshal Patel played a crucial role in Royal Challengers Bangalore victory against Mumbai Indians recently in Indian Premier League 2021. Patel took a hat-trick and dismissed dangerous hitters like Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya and Rahul Chahar finishing with four wickets. Earlier Mumbai finished their innings with a respectable total of 165. Bangalore could only make 111 in reply and this also helped RCB in improving their net run rate significantly. With 23 wickets in 10 matches, Patel is the leading wicket-taker in IPL 2021.

Patel is only the third player to take a hat-trick for Royal Challengers Bangalore after Praveen Kumar and Samuel Badree. His superb bowling performance helped RCB further their chances of making it to the playoffs this season.
