During the fourth day’s play in the second Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, crowd witnessed one of the funniest incidents on cricket field that left everyone in splits. Asked to bat at no. 10, Pakistan spinner Abrar Ahmed was spotted rushing to the crease to avoid a ‘timed out’ dismissal. The video of the same is now viral on social media in which the cricketer could be seen running towards the crease in a hurry while Shakib was seen laughing at the situation.

Shakib History of ‘Time Out’ dismissal
In 2023, Shakib came in limelight when he dismissed Sri Lanka’s Angelo Mathews as he was ‘Timed Out’ for taking too long to take strike. Shakib became the first player in history of the game dismiss an opposition team player in this way. It drew criticism from many as they thought it was against the spirit of the game.

As far as the second test match is concerned., the host side could pile up only 172 runs in the second innings, which meant that Bangladesh needed to chase a mere 185 runs to win the second consecutive test match. The Bangladesh batters did not disappoint and chased the target wih 6 wickets remaining. Bangladesh registered an unprecedented series win against Pakistan and that too at Pakistan’s home turf.
