SRH vs RR Match Preview, Playing 11, and Match prediction

The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will face the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in IPL 2022 match 5 on Tuesday, March 29 at the MCA stadium in Pune. It’s the first time the two teams, who are divided into two groups, have met. The IPL 2022 will include 74 matches over 65 days, with the final slated for May 29. Read our SRH vs RR match preview below.

The previous season for both teams

Both of these teams had a disappointing prior season. While the Rajasthan Royals placed seventh on the standings despite winning only five of their 14 games, the Sunrisers Hyderabad team finished last in the IPL 2021 league stages, with only three victories in 14 games.

In the 2022 IPL mega auction, both teams improved their batting and bowling lineups. Needless to say, following a disappointing showing last year, both of these teams would want to start the 15th season of the IPL on a high note.

SRH vs RR Pitch Report

The bounce will be genuine in Pune, and batsmen will be rewarded for their strokeplay. The ball will move about in the opening few overs, but this is a pitch where batters may score runs. We may expect a high-scoring competition.

SRH vs RR Predicted Playing 11

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrises Hyderabad will be captained by Kane Williamson, whom the team has retained ahead of the IPL 2022 season. Rashid Khan and David Warner were let go, but Bhuvneshwar Kumar and T Natarajan were repurchased in the major auction. Other players bought at the auction include Washington Sundar, Rahul Tripathi, Maco Jansen, and Nicholas Pooran. The team is lacking a strong spinner, as well as a reputable opener.

The Royals also added a couple of quality players in the mega-auction. Their bowling assault has been boosted by Trent Boult, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Yuzvendra Chahal. Sanju Samson, who will head the Royals’ batting line-up, will be joined by Jos Buttler, Rassie Van Der Dussen, and Shimron Hetmyer, among others.

SRH vs RR Match Prediction

If Sanju Samson gets going, the opposition will be in big danger. Samson was the biggest run-getter for the ‘Men in Pink’ in IPL 2021, scoring 484 runs at an average of over 40. He is a batsman endowed with the ability to select the gaps with accuracy and also clear the boundaries at ease. It is likely that Rajasthan Royals will win the match.
