Sreesanth represented Rajasthan Royals in the infamous IPL 2013
Sreesanth would be delighted as he made it to the list of 590 potential players in IPL 2022 Auction. He has been playing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy which is India’s T20 Domestic league. He knows getting place in IPL Auction is a kind of small attainment andthat he has been given a second chance in cricketing career.
He literally is over the moon as coming back after an ignominious scandal is not easy at all. Earlier he was banned from Cricket for his involvement in spot-fixing in 2013 IPL and is now back after a gap of 9 years. It would be interesting to seewhich franchise bids for him given his past performances. In 2013 he was associated with Rajasthan Royals and the franchise made it to the play-offs then.
The 38 year old may not have chance of making a comeback in the national side as BCCI won’t try out a veteran. But making it to IPL Auction is also tough and recently has impressed the scouts with raw pace as if it looks he still has the zeal him. He though has a mountain to climb as there are a lot of fast bowlers than him waiting in the wing to perform. He will also be hoping that his past deeds don’t hamper his beautiful future.
Sreesanth used to be the youth sensation because of his aggression & not to forget about his impeccable swing bowling. He would hope franchise gives him a second chance which may seem a tough call yet for him hope is the only thing. If given opportunity it would be a story of fight-back as no one even thought that he would be back on the Cricket field.
