Watch: Shakib Al Hasan Angry on Umpire; Gets Banned For 4 Matches

Veteran Bangladesh Cricketer Shakib Al Hasan has been banned for four matches in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League for his disrespectful behavior towards the on field umpire. Mohammedan Sporting Club captain Shakib will now not be able to play the next few matches for his side. Although Shakib’s team won the match easily via DLS method, he reacted extremely angry twice during the game. During first time he kicked the stumps after a long leg-before appeal against Mushfiqur Rahim. Second time was when umpire asked to bring covers on the field when only one ball was remaining for the completion of the sixth over of Abahani Limited  innings. Actually six over needed to be completed to get a result in this game and at that time Mohammedan Sporting Club was ahead in the game. Shakib removed the stumps and threw them in anger. Shakib did apologise on social media afterwards but this act deserved punishment so that no one else repeats it again.

Shakib’s Wife Reaction
Shakib’s wife Ummey came out in his support through a very lengthy post on social media. She called all this criticism as a plot and that it was an attempt to tarnish his image.

Virender Sehwag Reaction
Virender Sehwag has his own way of reacting to different controversies on social media. His tweets are very witty and sometimes it makes you laugh even in case of something serious. He put up a picture of Shakib with Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina holding his ear. Sehwag made it clear that he did not like Shakib’s actions on the field.

Shakib is considered one of the best all-rounders to have played cricket but such an act was not expected from him. Shakib is even said to have misbehaved with Bangladesh Cricket Director and Abahani Team’s Coach Khaled Mahmud.
