Team News

India are dealt with a huge blow as some key players like Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Ruturaj Gaikwad  and  Navdeep Saini have tested positive for Covid-19. These players will miss out from the 1st ODI and it now Mayank Agarwal and Ishan Kishan have been added to the squad. Ishan is likely opening along with captain Rohit Sharma. The spin department of India looks threatening as ever and it remains who among newbie Ravi Bishnoi, Washington Sundar, Yuzvendra Chahal and returning Kuldeep Yadav plays in the final 11.

WI Team is High on Confidence

The Carribean team had an impressive and dominating performance against the strong England team. WI won that T20 Series by 3-2 and would be high on confidence now. The West Indies team looks much balanced as they have a combo of young & experienced players. The presence of Kieron Pollard, Darren Bravo, Jason Holder, Shai Hope , Nicholas Pooran & Kemar Roach makes them a very strong side which will not be easy to beat.

Pitch & Conditions

A run fest is expected as the pitch would be a belter. The team batting first would be eyeing atleast 270+ runs while anything above 300 runs would give a psychological advantage to the team batting first. Dew is also likely to play a major role in deciding the outcome of the match.

Likely Winner of ODI Series

India is red hot favorite to clinch the ODI Series and should win the ODI Series by 3-0. But it remains to be seen if WI can upset Team India with the kind of finishers they have. WI players also have a chance, especially when so many Indian players will be out of 1st ODI due to Covid.
