KL Rahul dropped Karthik’s catch

In the RCB innings, it was Rahul’s fielding errors that finally cost his team. Dinesh Karthik, who went on to change the match with a superb combination with century Rajat Patidar, lost a straightforward catch of the LSG skipper.

The situation occurred in the Royal Challengers Bangalore innings’ 15th over. Karthik grabbed a leading edge from Mohsin Khan’s bowling while fielding at mid-off for the LSG. The ball was tossed into the air by Karthik, and Rahul brilliantly caught it. However, the ball dropped out of his hands when he touched the ground, and he was unable to catch it.

At first, LSG coach Gautam Gambhir celebrated, believing Rahul had caught the ball cleanly. However, Gambhir’s reaction shifted soon. He hid his face behind both hands in despair. At the time, Karthik was down two runs.

Deepak Hooda dropped Rajat Patidar while he was on 72 runs in the next over. Karthik and Patidar scored 92 runs together. Patidar scored 112 runs off 54 deliveries, while the RCB wicketkeeper-batsman scored 37 runs off 23 deliveries.

Harshal Patel (1/25) and Josh Hazlewood (3/43) bowled brilliantly in the game’s final two overs, while Wanindu Hasaranga (1/42) took Hooda’s important wicket.

Rajat Patidar struck a magnificent undefeated century (112* off 55 balls) in the first innings to help RCB reach 207/4. In Kolkata, Rahul won the toss and chose to bowl against RCB. The toss was postponed by 40 minutes because of rain at Eden Gardens, and the match resumed at 8:10 p.m.

KL Rahul criticized the team’s fielding

KL Rahul criticized bad fielding for his team’s 14-run loss to Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL Eliminator but acknowledged Rajat Patidar’s magnificent century as the difference between the two teams. With a 54-ball 112 not out, Patidar, a 28-year-old Indore native, single-handedly won the IPL Eliminator for RCB.

After Patidar was dropped three times on his way to his century, Rahul was unhappy with his team’s fielding. He stated, “They fielded really well, and we were terrible.”
