Low expectations = Low Pressure
Gavaskar cited Punjab Kings as one of the teams that have failed to win the IPL. He believes their squad lacks an impact player this time, but this could help the team as well. Additionally, he explained that low expectations lead to a lower level of pressure, and when the pressure is low, players are freer to approach the situation. In response to the question of whether the Kings will win this season, Gavaskar said he doubts it. As a T20 format, he says that you need to be in a winning cycle consistently.
