  • MS Dhoni finds his Groove against KKR

The CSK vs KKR clash proved to be an interesting one.  Dhoni made sure that his fans aren’t disappointed. He scored an unbeaten 50 runs in 38 balls. His turbulent knock made sure that CSK posted a below par total of 131-5. The peculiarity of his knock was that he took ample time to get his eye in and then went in beast mode. The legendary wicket-keeper batter was in sublime touch as during death overs he just dismantled the opponent with shrewd batting. Ravindra Jadeja was at the other hand who was having tough times as scoring was quite tough. All in all, the Cricketing World got to see a brilliant knock from MS Dhoni.

  • CSK lose opening fixture

CSK were blown hot and cold. Ravindra Jadeja led CSK tasted tough times as KKR ruined their match. Apart from CSK’s wicket-keeper none of the batters scored a significant score of 30 or more runs. CSK would be dejected as they not only let themselves down but the entire Tamil Nadu fans where they worship ‘Thala’ like a God.

CSK though shouldn’t panic as such instances are bound to happen in a long marquee tournament. The captaincy skills of Jadeja weren’t quite up to the mark as he is completely new to it and only time will tell how he performs.

  • KKR bowlers make the Work easier for batters

The opening spell from Umesh Yadav was lethal as he took 2 important wickets. The new ball was doing a lot of talking and the way Shreyas Iyer marshalled his troops was fantastic. The bowlers bowled with a lot of discipline which augurs of the team culture set by Captain Shreyas. Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine were bowling in tandem and were absolutely bang on target. Varun got rid off the senior statesman Robin Uthappa which changed the course of the Match. All bowlers made sure that CSK aren’t posting a target in excess of 150 runs as the pitch was a lively one. All in all, KKR would be happy that under Shreyas Iyer the team tasted first victory, but it is often said that well begun is half done.
