We have seen some massive sixes in the history of IPL, some were too huge that it was just impossible to believe it. What more a cricket fan can ask for after seeing such long sixes in a T20 format? It was Albie Morkel who set the record for the longest six in the IPL. No one has yet broken his record of the longest six in the IPL history. However, Livingstone has written his name on the list. During Punjab Kings‘ match versus Gujarat Titans on May 4, Liam Livingstone struck the longest six of the current season. Livingstone’s tremendous shot propelled him into the top 10 list of longest sixes in IPL history.
In the 16th over, Livingstone faced Mohammed Shami and hit him for the longest six of the season. The shot, which reached a maximum distance of 117 meters, astounded everyone, even the bowler. Livingstone swung hard and put the ball in the top tier of the DY Patil Stadium, leaving Shami smiling.

While Livingstone has been in the top ten list of highest maximums four times this season, the longest six in IPL history was hit in the first edition. The record of Albie Morkel has yet to be broken. Let’s take a look at the longest sixes in IPL history.

Liam Livingstone of Punjab Kings stands at the top in this season of IPL as he smashed a 117m six against Mohammed Shami of Gujarat Titans.
The Baby-AB, Dewald Brevis of Mumbai Indians stands in the second position of the longest sixes in IPL with a 112m maximum against Punjab Kings’ Rahul Chahar.
Again, Liam Livingstone has secured the third position with his name with a 108m maximum against Mukesh Choudhary of Chennai Super Kings.
The purple cap holder of this season, Jos Buttler of Rajasthan Royals has hit a maximum of 107m against Delhi Capital’s so-called Lord Shardul Thakur
Don’t be surprised, Livingstone has his name three times in the top five list of longest sixes in IPL 2022. This 106m six was against the fastest bowler of this season, Umran Malik who plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
