KL Rahul
Captain KL Rahul of the Lucknow Super Giants stated that his team’s loss to Gujarat Titans on Tuesday was a result of poor shot selection by his team’s batters. Nevertheless, he said it will serve as a valuable learning experience for his team.
At the toss, Rahul had said the pitch would be tricky and didn’t know how it would play. But his team showed how difficult it was to play on that pitch by being all-out at the low score of 82 runs.

The pitch was challenging because the ball was gripping and slowing off the surface, but batsmen who played carefully and stayed at the wicket were rewarded. Gujarat Titans opener Shubman Gill showed this with his great knock of 63 not-out, which led his team to reach 144/4 in 20 overs.
Rahul criticized his batsmen following the loss, blaming them for poor shot selection. He stated that it was a learning experience for his team. He went on to say that the trick here was for both him and opener Quinton de Kock to get the team through the powerplay overs having around 30-40 runs on the board.
Rahul, on the other hand, praised his bowlers for their outstanding effort in limiting Gujarat to a score of less than 150 runs and mentioned that they were aware that batting against spinners would be challenging in the second innings.
