Ishan Kishan sold to Mumbai Indians (MI) for a whopping 15.25 Crores

Ishan Kishan became the most expensive player  on the 1st day of IPL 2022 Auction. Earlier Mumbai Indians decided not to retain the swashbuckling wicket-keeper batter. The left-handed elegant batsman would be over the moon not because of money only but also he is continuing his IPL Career with the same franchise. MI know that they have made long term investment in the batter as his age is only 23.

MI would be extremely happy as having a multi-talented batter is nothing but a blessing. MI would hope that the dashing batter rewards them by playing match-winning knocks. It would be interesting to see where the sly wicket-keeper bats as in MI camp he would be suited to either open the innings or at No.3 or 4 position. Making him bat at a lower position would do injustice to his talent.

Ishan’s International Career

The shrewd left handed batter recently played for the national team. He didn’t quite taste success but he got the experience of playing at the summit level. The more he represents India the better it be as getting the feel of International Cricket will keep him in good stead. MI’s team at the auction are looking set to acquire more young talent on the 2nd Day. They would be booming with confidence as they have got the core of the top order back in the form of : Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan & Kieron Pollard.
