IPL 2022: Umesh Yadav gets a wicket again in the power play

Umesh Yadav, India’s fast bowler, has amazed everyone in this year’s Indian Premier League. Umesh’s bowling has managed to catch everyone’s attention. Furthermore, Umesh, who plays for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), is taking wickets consistently for the team during the Powerplay. Rohit Sharma’s bat, on the other hand, has not been tested yet this season. 

Mumbai is still searching for its first win. Today, Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma and KKR’s Umesh Yadav faced each other. It was a battle between the best and Umesh won this battle. His fast short ball at a speed of more than 140 km/h dismissed Rohit Sharma. Rohit was dismissed on his favorite shot, which is a pull shot. Last season, the Delhi Capitals kept Umesh Yadav on the bench the entire season. Umesh Yadav is retaliating for the criticism. Umesh Yadav has reverted to his former self after joining the Kolkata Knight Riders squad.

Rohit Sharma again dismissed by Umesh Yadav

Rohit Sharma has moreover 1000 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League. On Wednesday, though, after mistiming a pull shot from Umesh Yadav’s ball, he was caught by wicketkeeper Sam Billings. The fast baller has dismissed Rohit several times in IPL.

With a half-century against Delhi Capitals, Rohit Sharma got the IPL 2022 season off to a good start. He has struggled to get going in both of his games thus far, failing against Rajasthan Royals and then getting dismissed for three against KKR.

He is the only batsman in the IPL history to score 1000 runs or more against a single team. Rohit is also closing in on joining an exclusive record: he is 53 runs away from joining Virat Kohli as the second Indian batsman to reach 10,000 T20 runs.

In the powerplay, Umesh now has 51 wickets. In this season’s powerplay, he has bagged more wickets. As a result, he leads the purple cap race. Umesh took nine wickets till now.
