Tewatia (13 not out off 3 balls), who is known for smashing massive sixes in tight situations, smashed the final two balls delivered by Odean Smith for maximums, giving the Titans their third straight win.

Sai Sudharsan, who was making his debut, got off to a strong start, hitting two fours, and GT was 53/1 at the end of the powerplay. GT was 94/1 at the midway point, thanks to a fifty-run partnership for the second wicket. While Sudharsan played the second fiddle, Gill kept the tempo with GT by sustaining the flow of boundaries from one end. PBKS ultimately broke the partnership when Sudharsan was caught by Mayank Agarwal off the bowling of Rahul Chahar, and GT needed 56 off the final five overs.
