Can Jos Buttler break Virat Kohli’s Record?
Jos Buttler of the Rajasthan Royals became the joint-fastest batter to score more than 600 runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He achieved the feat during the team’s chase against the Punjab Kings in his 11th innings. On Saturday, Buttler equaled Virat Kohli, David Warner, Shaun Marsh and Chris Gayle with 600-plus runs.
The milestone was first reached by Marsh while playing for Kings XI Punjab. While Kohli did so for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2016. At the time of his achievement, Gayle was batting for RCB in the IPL 2011. As a captain of SunRisers Hyderabad, Warner set the record in IPL 2019.

Great season for Jos Buttler
IPL Orange cap leader Buttler has amassed 313 runs for Rajasthan Royals in the current season. Experts and spectators have been impressed with Buttler’s recent performance as the Rajasthan Royals opener. His last three centuries were scored against Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitals, and Mumbai Indians. All big names in the IPL tournament.
Currently, Virat Kohli holds the record of most runs scored by a player in a single season of the IPL. However, looking at Jos Buttler’s current season and his current form, it seems that he might break this record as well.

Buttler is strong against spin and pace, something not everyone can claim about a great player, according to Rajasthan Royals director of cricket Kumar Sangakkara. He also has a wide range of excellent shots within his repertoire. These include paddling, sweeping, and reverse sweeping. Moreover, his hand speed and power are excellent. Furthermore, Sangakkara stated that Buttler is a formidable opponent. And having those shots and that strength in his arsenal, together with those fast hands, gives a player a tremendous amount of confidence.
